HAVEN’s mission is to prevent sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, and stalking and to support and empower women, men, youth, and families to heal from abuse and rebuild their lives.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 7 men will experience some form of domestic violence by an intimate partner. During the pandemic, this has intensified.
On average, over 20,000 calls are received daily to report domestic abuse.
Why we support HAVEN… a HAVEN Shelter Manager was delivering flowers a local nursery donated for Mother’s Day and one of the survivors stopped her before leaving and asked, “You have more deliveries? There are more people like me in this situation?” It was at that moment that the survivor was able to realize she was not alone.
